Hi Benjamin and all,

No, I first learned of Goya after it had gone out of print. Also, there was a
post a while back (I believe from Tzing, maybe not) about Seiko performing on
a television show with Sara Brightman...I don't remember the song or show.

I didn't know of Brightman at the time, either...then I saw "Phantom Of The
Opera" twice in San Francisco (without Brightman) and bought the original cast
CD (with Brightman) and thought "I'd really like to hear her sing with Seiko..."

I hope that I'm surprised (or maybe even shocked) by Love & Emotion 2. I hope 
that it is a "great" album, not a "good" one. I hope that it's longer than 32
minutes. I'm sure that Shinji Harada is a good person and is doing his best
with Seiko, but he has not found an "Angel" or "Koisuru Omoi" in her. He's
done some nice work, but I'm ready for some great work. 

I watched the Paul McCartney concert for New York last night and saw the Who,
a band that was one of my all-time favorites growing up. Pete Townshend was 
absolutely on fire in a way he hasn't been for years. He cupped his hands
around the microphone and yelled "We just want you to know that we are very,
very proud to be here" and this over-50-year-old man was transformed into a
teenage superman again...attacking his guitar as if his life depended on it.
Today the news media reported on the concert and said that the Who "brought
down the house"...they were right.

An artist needs to burn occasionally, to be consumed with passion, to transcend
what has already been laid out for their audience as their best work. I believe
Seiko's best work hasn't been recorded yet. Whether Shinji-san will be the one
to help her discover it or not remains to be seen...and heard.
