Translation into Japanese

Dear all,

I lived in Hawaii for many years and these are the facts.
During the WWII, Americans did not like Japanese and 
referred the American Japanese as 'Japs'. This is widely
regarded as insulting for the large Amercian Japanese
population in Hawaii.  Therefore, I was adviced when I 
was a teenager in Hawaii to not used the word 'Japs'
