hello, 
how is everyone doing? yesterday was the opening day of the new
movie GEDO: The Fatal Blade (English). After the show, 12.45pm to
2.15pm, Seiko and the male lead Kiyoshi Nakajo came on stage to 
talk about the movie for about 20-25 minutes.

GEDO cast:
The producer is Simon Tse (Surrogate Mother) usually works with 
Asian stars in Holywood productions.

Director is Dalun (or Talun?)  Hsu (Magnum 357). 

Gary Daniels (City Hunter) has more than 30 films in Europe adn is known
for his very swift adn agile martial skills....(but under used adn exposed in
this GEDO). Also known as the England's answer to America's Steven Segal.

Victor Rivers is from the Twin Peaks fame.

The Japanese cast seem more impressive... those who are familiar
with the Japanese actors league will realize that those cast are more of
a personality-type ones than pretty-faced ones. The lead actor was best
cast. Very Very apt. 


Show:
Well, the first thing that struck me was the varied but not in anyway
awkward, mix of accents... the English (from Daniels), Japanese (from the
Japanese actors) adn suprisingly not so heavy American accent from the 
American actors.  

I have to admit that i couldnt follow the story line very well coz the plot
was just too simple adn more than anything else, i was glued adn mesmerized
by the acting performances of Nakajo Kiyoshi adn surprise surprise Seiko!!!!
These two, in that order, are the gems of the show.... probably saved the movie too.

The scipt is still the show's weakest point (although better than Surrogate),
adn the personality of the characters could be better explored adn developed,
adn done in a more non-conventional way. (^^;;;) The feeling I get is that the
level of Tse adn Hsu productions are currently still at the MTV-stage of 
"Seiko Clips 1-3"rather than "Seiko Clips 4-5 to Forever" stage. 
thus, I am looking forward for more... (^^)

Alas, alas no song by Seiko this time....


Seiko in GEDO:
In all aspects, if you had felt that Seiko's performnace in Surrogate Mother
was missing something or there but not so there...., this one kinda makes
up for that. (^^) And as fans, you will also be able to sense the similar 
progress that we have witnessed in her albums, concerts adn music video clips.

My concluding remark is that you wont be disappointed by Seiko in GEDO at all.
I am saving my money for the LD release already.... (^^)
adn to watch it another time at the big screens.....

Of course, please overlook adn forget all these personal comments of mine
before you watch the movie in October so that you too can enjoy the impact
that GEDO adn Seiko delivers.
