Hi Simon,

Yep, there is something about that soothing effect you 
mentioned which i identify too...

According to the interview they had with Richard Carpenters
he said that he had had met Seiko adn thought "a world of 
her" adn that he was sure that she would make the best choice
as his duet partner, if he ever wanted to make a comeback...
which incidentally he is, about making the Carpenters name
into current music scene again.

He also added that he is all willing. the only thing that 
might stand in the way would be if Seiko had turned down 
his request. Apparently, because he was taken ill last year
this project was held back...
