Hi Everyone,

When I first read the news in the Forum. I was totally confused. Which Akiko?
There were at least 3 Akiko came to my mind, but none seems to be brave enough
to challenge Seiko and/or could possibly in conflict with Seiko. Then I learnt
that it was Wada Akiko, I then started seeing the whole thing as a joke...just 
for fun.

Akiko was (maybe still is) the most well known Japanese woman to Japanese 
people according to a big survey few years back. She is a very well respected
entertainer. That's why she is on Red-White almost every year. Seiko,
in the same survey, came as the 5th more well-known Japanese woman. But she is 
only second to Akiko in the entertainment sector. Over 98% of Japanese people
know who is Akiko, over 95% know who is Seiko. Remember this survey is about
how well known they are, not how popular they are.

I dont see why they would hate each other. Their career path and target
audience are almost completely different from each other. Akiko is in her
50s, started her career in early 70s.  Seiko is in her late 30s, started
her career almost a decade later. Both of them are very entertaining with
good comical quality. I believe the war was more for promotion/publicity
purposes. Would Yaji, Tzing or other fans who has the chance to access 
more information and actually watch the show please keep us update. Thanks
