The news of the duet by Seiko and Hiromi Go has hit all headlines. According
to the report, Go has initiated this last autumn when they meet during some
TV program rehearsal.
Personally, I think the duet by Seiko and Harada Shinji (from the album) is
unmatchable to any of Seiko's duets before and it is a good and balanced match
as both are great musicians and producers. With Richard Carpenter, there is
no doubt the common trait is on the vocals.
The one by Seiko and Hiromi Go, appears more to be somewhat for media catching
purpose, and this might just be what is needed or what is only desired in this
odd Japanese music entertainment where you can only find great music not in the
top 20 list.
Then again, it might be too early to tell...:P
