Hi Benjamin,

The Flash site is slow, and I have a DSL connection...when the brown screen
appears, it sometimes seems that it is all you get and nothing else loads. If
you wait a moment the remaining content will appear.

This is why I only use a little Flash on SMF III...it creates a different
experience for every user. It can look very nice, very active, with a lot of
creative moving elements. It can also load slowly and cause frustration for
users, who get frustrated with the site and never come back. The Web has come
a long way, but...especially in the areas of Flash, JavaScript, DHTML and
compatibility between Mac / PC platforms and multiple browsers...it has a LONG
way to go.
