Hi everyone,

Part of me wants to believe that the recent Seiko events are all rumor, but
they are so in alignment with her "pattern" that I have my doubts.

The whole Shinji Harada thing is Alan Reed all over again. He's a minor talent,
and little by little he's become more involved in Seiko's music and stage shows.
When she did "Area 62" and included "Ave Maria," my first thought was "Alan 
Reed." The difference between the two men is that Reed got greedy and foolish,
losing his perspective on how he arrived at "The Good Life." Harada seems to
know exactly what is going on and is milking the situation for all it's worth.
Whether he is in an affair with Seiko is totally irrelevant: he is still getting
a LOT in return for what is, to me, a minor and insignificant contribution. He
is a "hack" performer...not a great musician, no "soul"...with Shinji it's all
about computers and studio tricks and his finished songs lack any heart or
warmth. Take the heart away from Seiko and you have a career that's destined
for a downward spiral. She couldn't even let go of Harada for "Area 62"...
referring to "Ave Maria" as her "favorite song" and Harada as her "favorite
colllaborator." Like it or not, Seiko is telling all of you "Shinji is here
to stay." So much for any questions about Seiko listening to her fans or
caring about what they have to say. 

It's sad, it's pitiful, and I really hope that most of what's being written
right now is tabloid trash and nothing more.
