Hi friends,
I finally got the Sennen No Koi (Thousand Years Love) DVD.
Seiko acted as "Ageha no kimi", which has a meaning of feather. She is
a fairy.
I watched it yesterday and Seiko has only very few performance there (only
appear 4 times) but everytime she appears, she sings one song!
1) First appearance is when she escaped from the big house and taking off her
thick and heavy dress, flying up to the sky and became a fairy...
Seiko hurted her leg while filming this part. I still see her long...
thick and heavy dress layers flipping each other at her back...
2) The second appearance is Seiko was walking back and forth (horizontally) in
a big fire...I think that part wanted to say she died but that scene
was also part of hikaru genji (the story is talking about him)'s dream.
3) The third appearance is in a big house, the girl "Si you si" was walking
with a large group of servants. The beautiful fairy was sitting at the top
of the house (or a tree, I am not sure), looking at Siyousi and singing
sad song.
4) The last appearance is in a river, the beautiful fairy was sitting in a
small boat, floating along the river and singing. She looks very sad
there and I saw she was trying to avoid herself being hitted by small
stones. The stones got into the water next to her boat. That scene
is the longest time for Seiko's appearance in the whole film, but it
was misty!
Though it must be very nice for Seiko to participate in this movie as it has
the biggest budget in Japanese film making history, Seiko's role is really
so called "can be with or can be without". Also, may be that was because I
do not understand what the story is about, Seiko's parts are all "Jumped in"
scenes which had really no meaning there!
But of course, the film itself has VERY beautiful picture quality, I mean
for the colour combinations, make-up, dressing, background, photo layout
designs...all are very professionally done!
Those who has not yet got a chance to see this movie, go to
