My opinion on Seiko's makeup is : Japan's fashion is way ahead of the Americans (not necessarily better but always more creative and avant-garde). As an artist, you are allowed to try things that normal people should not try. Seiko has a few shocking makeups, but at the end I accept that as part of her (or her stylist's, makeup artist's) creativity. Seiko's hairstyle, fashion sense, makeup have always been an inspiration to lots of women and more. I agree that she looks amazing with little or no makeup at all (as on her single cover Heart No Earring, and album cover Seiko Town. Not many artists (man or woman) are brave enough to do that.
