Cheer up, Shopgirl...as soon as you finish reading this go put on the "Forever"
or "My Story" or "1992 Nouvelle Vague" CD and you will have no problem
recalling why you became a fan...
"Ee-dee-ooo-tic?"....have you been watching old "Ren and Stimpy" cartoons?
(As in "Stimpy! You EE-DEE-OT!")...:-)
Your sad tale of HS doesn't surprise me...he absolutely has struck gold. He
is the 21st Century Edition of Alan Reed. He's a tapeworm in Seiko's creative
digestive track (He should change his nickmname from Shinji "Shine" Harada
to Shinji "The Worm" Harada)...:-)
He's alienated Seiko's fans, perhaps driven some of them away (or prevented
others from ever BECOMING fans) and if he can READ (and I'm sure he can) he
KNOWS this, KNOWS he's not welcome, KNOWS he's not wanted, and is probably
laughing all the way to the bank.
That's why it is called "The Music Business." And Seiko is just being a good,
honorable Japanese businesswoman. She can read too. Why do you think she put
out that message a while back asking fans to cut her some slack? She knows
Shinji's not welcome, and like it or not...for at least the forseeable future...
a ticket to see Seiko in concert is a ticket to see Shinji in concert.
Go put on those "Seiko Prime" CDs...do it now! Listen to "Koisuru Omoi ~Fall
In Love" and realize that Seiko is not gone...she's just "lost" after having
taken a wrong turn for the last three and a half years...I believe she will
find her way back. Just remember how long she kept Alan Reed around before
kicking him to the curb...:-)
Best regards,
Mike
