Hello Mina san,
I hope that you had a very wonderful Christmas & also a Happy New Years eve
& a great New Year's Day. My son & I had a very wonderful & fantastic New
Year's eve & a great New Year's Day. I will be sure to tell you all about
it.
As you know, my son & I live in Utsunomiya,Tochigi,Japan, to get to Tokyo
Disneyland unless you take the Shinkansen Train which is also called the
Bullet Train, then it takes anywhere from 2 hrs to 2:45 minutes to get to
Tokyo Disneyland by local train from Utsunomiya.
At 9:00 am on the 31st,we left Utsunomiya by local train to Saitama
Shinotoshin, then we got on a bus, this bus was a tour bus at 12:00 noon. We
then rode this bus from there to Shinjuku Station, in Tokyo. After we left
Shinjuku station we ,then we went to one of the most famous parts of
Tokyo,we went to Obadai Park & stayed there for a couple of hours. It was a
lot of fun,it is sort of like a big amusement park.
After leaving there at around 4 pm, we got back on the bus & then went to
the Tokyo Bay Hotel for a huge buffet dinner, it was really delicious. Then
we went from there to Tokyo Disneyland. We got inside the gates a little
after 8 pm on the 31st. We then had to run to find a place to sit so that
we would be able to see the opening of the New Year's parade of lights at
Tokyo Disneyland. We barely found a place to sit but we were in a good
spot. The parade was the best I have ever seen in all of my life. There
were more than a millon lights on all of the characters & also on the floats
too. If you ever get the chance in your life to go,I would highy suggest
it.
After the parade we went & rode many different rides in the park together.
Then at 11:30 we went & watched the New Year's eve musical inside Disneland
theme par,it was fantastic. Then we all counted down to Happy New
Year, waved our flourescent lights back & forth, then we rushed outside to
watch the New Year's Day fireworks, that was the best fireworks display I
have ever ever seen before in my life & I am 40-years old & have seen
fireworks in many different places but that was the best I have ever seen.
After that was finished we continued riding rides. We came back home at
around a little after 7 am & then slept. I think that was the best New
Year's eve & New Year's Day ever that we spent inside a theme park.
I still think the best New Year's Day though was when we had attended the
New Year's Days events in Little Tokyo,Los Angeles in 2000. My son even
still thinks that was the best New Years Day,but for New Year's eve
events,December 31st,2003 New Years eve at Tokyo Disneyland was the best
ever in terms of New Year's eve celebrations.
So tell me, how did your New Year's eve go?. I hope that all of you had a very wonderful & happy New Year's eve & exciting New Year's Day also. In the
meantime, please do make sure tell us all about it soon.
We all would love to listen to everything all of you would like to say about your New Year's eve & New Year's day events. I hope that all of your dreams & wishes you may have come true!!! . HAPPY NEW YEAR MINA SAN!!!!!.

                                   Always,
                                        Jim Baker
