Subject: Seiko in Taiwan drama??!
Date: 2005/04/10 20:19:54
Hi all,
There is no official confirmation that Seiko will starr in a Taiwan drama
this Sept to Nov. In the below links of the Taiwan report, Seiko is cast as
the female lead, as the wife of a Japanese dam engineer who was hero to the
Taiwan nationals, and to carry the character from age 16 to 46.

Wah-Shih TV station President Jiang Xia specially came to Japan to convince
Seiko to take up this role. Their meeting as at a local tokyo hotel (Akasaka
Prince) two days ago. Jiang Xia returned to Taiwan with the following comments
1. Jiang had handed the script to Seiko half a year ago. She is very keen to
have Seiko to take the role. Seiko has expressed interest and everything
depends on Seiko's availability from Sept to Nov for the shooting
2. Jiang was astonished by Seiko's beauty, said that she knew that Seiko was
pretty from TV but she never expected her to look this pretty in person.
Jiang says Seiko looks no more than 28.... (good grief!)
3. Jiang was very surprised and praised Seiko for Seiko was very friendly, and
polite, had no airs at all when she was speaking to Jiang
4. 25 years ago, Jiang went to Japan with husband and saw Seiko on TV. She told
her husband then "this girl will be a big star" and she was right... even after
25 years Seiko carries the superstar. This she shared with Seiko two nights ago.
Our Asia fans... better start to look out for your local news on this. :)
Can anyone tell me a little bit about Wah-Shih TV station and this Jiang Xia?
As far as I know, Taiwanese dramas have the tendency to be very very long...
thanks
