Fender Stratcaster 1957 re-issue(1991)
The stratcaster was born in 1954 , more than forty years ago,by Leo Fender. As vintge guitars, stratcasters before 1964 when Fender was aquired by CBS are highly sought after. Different woods and prastic materials were used, depends upon manufactured year. Also, head shape and logo were different. For instance, bigger head shape was used in CBS era.
This guitar is 1957 reissue model. I bought this at Guitar Center in SanJose. Talking about stratcaster, you may remember Eric Clapton and his black stratcaster named "blackie". This guitar basically has same spacification as Clapton's strat. The major character of stratcaster is its bright sound. In addtion to that, I would like to say that its light weight to compare with LesPaul is one of stratcaster's major character.

Ovation 1985(1985)
Ovation was established in 1967 by Charles Kamman. When he was young, he was an excellent guitar player and he had a chance to be a professional guitar player. But, he joined a company which made air planes. He was engaged in development of helicopter. Later, he established his own company and succeeded. After his success, he eastablished his guitar maker Ovation.
Ovation guitar was designed based upon sound analysis, and made of prastics which was used for helicopter manufacture. Ovation guitar became very popular for guitarists in the world in quite short period.
This guitar was released in 1985 as a part of Ovation collector series started in 1982. This guitar has very thin body called "super shallow boul" and pre-amp named OP-24.
