New Zippo logo was used for all the products.
The inscription of "BRADFORD PA." was moved to beneath the new logo.
From this year, Zippo adopted new wick in which copper wire was braided.

The 50th Anniversary Commemorative lighter was introduced.

This year, "Yearly Identification Code" was also added on the insert.

The solid brass model was introduced.

The 1937 type vintage model was launched.
A Roman numeral "I" to indicate the year of manufacture was stamped on the bottom of vintage model.

Middle in 1985, corner of the cam clip was cut diagonally.

1986



Late in 1986, a Roman numeral was adopted to indicate what year the lighter was manufactured and stamped on the right of the bottom. For example, II, III and IV indicate 1986,1987 and 1988. Alphabet from A to L on the left means what month (A=Jan. L= Dec.) the lighter was manufactured.
(The lighters made until June, 1986 were not stamped code of the month of manufacture.)

In the same period, all inserts have the same "A" to "L" engraving as outer case to identify the month in which they were produced.

The Original 1933 model was Re-produced ("First Zippo Replica"), but it was stamped as "1932".
